IT TECHNICIAN/ADMINISTRATOR

customer base.
Our small and very busy
IT department is now looking to complement the team with an interesting new role
which will assist the existing IT team and combine technical support with
departmental administration.
This role will suit
someone who has experience in IT , possessing sufficient skills to assist in many
of the day-to-day technical support issues e.g. repairs, upgrades, software
setup and configuration. The role will be the dedicated point of access for
user support groups and will monitor scheduled system activities. Further training
will be given, but will ultimately require extensive knowledge of the corporate
and desktop solutions.
In addition, the
role will be responsible for all general administration within the department,
including monitoring contracts and ordering and stock control of equipment,
materials and consumables with relevant invoice reconciliation etc.
Clearly you will
have to be a very well organised individual with excellent administrative and
interpersonal skills and have the interest and capacity to absorb the technical
IT requirements. Experience of hardware and software maintenance, Windows
operating systems and Lotus Notes would be a distinct advantage, as would
knowledge of ERP/Retail systems.
